ZenMate offers all the standard services you'd expect from a VPN in a format that's accessible to the less tech savvy user. It's one of the best VPNs in terms of both price and usability, and it offers some of the cheapest plans on the market. It's a great package for anyone looking for a lightweight tool for searching the internet anonymously, but it's a less ideal tool for those looking for deep levels of customization or blindingly fast speeds.

That's not to say that ZenMate isn't fast. It draws from thousands of servers spread across 72 countries to provide one of the more stable server farms available to consumers. If there's one big problem with the ZenMate interface, it's inconsistency of access to streaming services. Some services flat out don't work, but the major streaming services like Netflix all allow streaming through the security of ZenMate's VPN.

Where it excels is in its ease of use. Even if you've never used a VPN before, you should be able to navigate the client without much difficulty. A giant button automatically channels your network through the VPN client, and the closest and most reliable server will automatically be picked. But you can use a pulldown menu to select from a whole menu of different locations. Just be sure to test it before you invest in a subscription. Evaluate all the major streaming services on the app, and consider moving to another service instead if you're looking for more robust geolocation services.
